i-CAT 3-D Imaging
We utilize the most effective technology, including Chicago’s first i-CAT™ Cone Beam 3-D Imaging System.
The i-CAT lets you stay comfortably seated in an open environment while we get amazing tomographic images of the mouth and face with .01 mm accuracy. Within a minute, images are transferred and displayed on a computer. An interactive, 3-D mapping tool allows us to easily format and select specific areas for immediate viewing.
The incredible accuracy of the i-CAT images provides detail not possible with conventional x-ray films or two-dimensional imaging equipment. That allows us to make the most accurate diagnosis and treatment plan, and that leads to a more predictable outcome. It also allows us to detect potential or occurring problems much earlier and treat them earlier as well.
In addition to comfort and accuracy, the i-CAT is less costly and there’s a significantly lower exposure to radiation, compared to traditional, hospital-based CT imaging.
